I’m going to keep this post as short as possible in an effort to avoid any spoilers.
I really enjoyed Man of Steel, there, that’s pretty simple right? ;-)
To add a tiny bit more to that, this take is a bit darker than previous Superman films and might be a little heavy for some of the young ones.
Henry Cavill did an amazing job, everyone did great, but let’s face it Supes is a hard suit to fill. Even though the movie clocked in at about two and a half hours, it felt paced well. My biggest gripes is how Lois Lane seems to have the ability to teleport, she finds her way around a city extremely fast a few times through out the film and it really stands out.
I’ve been counting down to The Purge since I saw the first trailer a few months ago. This type of film is both my favorite and least favorite kind of horror. My favorite because of the idea of a plausible situation is freaking intense and scary. Then my least favorite because at the end I’m terrified at all of the ‘OMG, What if?!’s that come after.
So I am super excited to take part in this giveaway sponsored by Universal Pictures for which they provided an exclusive The Purge pack which includes a t-shirt and mask (see below):
If you’d like to enter to win the pack then I have good news; it’s pretty damn easy and you’ll have extra options to enter for increased chances. There is one rule, no P.O. Boxes please.
How to enter:
Take the Would You Survive the Night? Quiz and post your results in the comments section!
You can also enter by tweeting – Hey @LilBigTrouble I want to #SurviveTheNight, give me that shirt! #ThePurge
Enter either way or both, each entry will be counted separately so you’d be throwing your hat in the ring twice. Take the test and tweet at me for two chances to win.
A winner will be chosen from one of the entries at random, and you have till June 16th to enter. The Purge opens in theaters on June 7th! :zombiekiller:
Haven’t heard of The Purge? Here’s the story:
If, on one night every year, you could commit any crime without facing consequences, what would you do? In an America wracked with crime and overcrowded prisons, the government has sanctioned an annual 12-hour period in which any and all criminal activity–including murder–becomes legal. The police can’t be called. Hospitals suspend help. It’s twelve hours when the citizenry regulates itself without thought of punishment. On this particular night in 2022, plagued by violence and an epidemic of crime, one family wrestles with the decision of who they will become when a stranger comes knocking.
When an intruder breaks into James Sandin’s (Ethan Hawke) gated community during the yearly lockdown, he begins a sequence of events that threatens to tear his family apart. Now, it is up to James, his wife, Mary (Lena Headey), and their kids to make it through the night without turning into the monsters from whom they hide.
